Research progress of microRNAs suppressing tumorigenesis through Hippo signaling

摘要: Hippo信号通路下游效应器蛋白Yes相关蛋白(YAP)和转录辅助激活因子(TAZ)的异常激活参与肝细胞癌(HCC)恶性进展。微小RNA(miRNAs)作为抑癌基因通过Hippo YAP/TAZ信号影响HCC增殖、迁移和凋亡等途径调控HCC恶性生物学表型。探索miRNAs 调节Hippo YAP/TAZ通路在HCC中的作用可为诊断和治疗HCC提供新的思路。

Abstract: The aberrant activation of yes-associated protein (YAP) and transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ), downstream effectors of the Hippo signaling pathway, has been implicated in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). The microRNAs (miRNAs) works as a tumor suppressors that influence the proliferation, migration and apoptosis of tumor cells by modulating Hippo-YAP/TAZ signaling during hepatic tumorigenesis. Exploring the role of miRNAs in regulating Hippo YAP/TAZ pathway in HCC can provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of HCC.
