Abstract: Acute lung injury is a common critical illness in neonates. Ferroptosis, a novel form of programmed cell death, plays an important role in the process of acute lung injury by regulating iron homeostasis, metabolism of amino acid and lipid peroxidation. In-depth study of the mechanism of ferroptosis in acute lung injury may provide new ideas for its prevention and treatment.

Key words: ferroptosis, iron homeostasis, metabolism of amino acid, lipid peroxidation, acute lung injury in neonate
