Losartan reduced cardiomyocyte apoptosis in rats with heart failure

Abstract: Objective Observation of losartan heart failure myocardial apoptosis degree of influence,Methods 8-week-old male election SD rats were divided into control group(group C), heart failure(group HF) and treatment group(group LS)。Use of doxorubicin injection model,group LS at the same time in a row to the oral losartan,TEM myocardial ultrastructure, serum CPK, CK-MB and LDH levels。DNA-situ terminal labeling (TUNEL method) was used to detect myocardial apoptosis, was detected by immunohistochemistry myocardial Bax,Bcl-2 protein expression. The Results group HF than the group C, myocardial cell injury obviously, and apoptotic bodies can be seen, serum CPK, CK-MB and increased LDH,group LS than the group HF, myocardial apoptosis index lower (P <0.01), myocardial cells Bc1-2 expression, Bax expression reduction.Conclusion Losartan can effectively inhibit the process of heart failure occurred in cardiomyocyte apoptosis, reversal of myocardial damage and improve the process of the role of heart failure.
