Practice of embedded SPOC in basic course of medicine

Abstract: With the development of post-MOOC era, SPOC ( Small Private Online Course ) began to display its advantage in merging with the traditional classroom. We introduced SPOC model in the integrated course “Cellular biochemistry” to year 2 medical students, in which online teaching resource was combined with face to face teaching in order to explore the enhancing effect of SPOC based flipped classroom on basic medical education. Students benefit a lot from the experience especially in understanding clinical case associated biological mechanism. It is an advanced thinking experience for students and may put a foundation in their early and future clinical practice.
