Abstract: In recent years, it has been attracting more and more attention to the relationship between obesity and autophagy. Autophagy in different tissue cell plays a different role under the obese state. Adipose-specific deletion of autophagy-related gene 7 and gene 5 have reduced the accumulation of lipid droplets and improved insulin resistance；Increased autophagy in hepatocytes may improve the metabolism；Autophagy defects in pancreatic β-cells may damage cells function；The appropriate level of autophagy is very important to maintain the function of skeletal muscle homeostasis.
