Abstract: In the wake of the first ever publication of human embryo gene editing research, scientific and ethical community cannot agree on whether the work was ethical. Regarding this, the paper summarized the main arguments for and against the research. After ethical analysis for gene editing, this paper gets the following conclusion: it should not suspend the basic research of human embryo editing, but the clinical practice should not be used not.
