Abstract: Objective To detect the expression of WNT10B in lung squamous cell carcinoma and to explore the correlation with pathologic feature and prognosis. Methods We collected 75 cases tissue chips of lung squamous cell carcinoma with follow-up information from Shanghai Outdo Biotech Co., ltd. The expression of WNT10B protein was examined by immunohistochemistry. Chi-squared test was used to analyze the correlation between WNT10B expression and pathological factors. Survival analysis, log-rank test and Cox proportional hazard model were employed to analyze the relationship between WNT10B expression and prognosis of patients. Results The expression of WNT10B in cancerous tissue was significantly higher than matched adjacent non-cancerous tissue (P<0.001). High expression of WNT10B was significantly correlated with T stage and tumor differentiation (P<0.05). WNT10B expression was correlated with the prognosis of patients (P<0.05) and WNT10B was an independent correlation factor for the prognosis (P<0.05). Conclusions WNT10B is involved in the occurrence and development of lung squamous cell carcinoma and is expected to be a new tumor marker and prognosis indicator.
