Abstract: Cushing’s syndrome (CS) results from chronic exposure to excessive levels of glucocorticoids. Generally it is accompanied by a hypercoagulable state. Patients with CS have a higher risk of arterial and venous thrombotic events, cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality. This review aims to introduce its pathophysiological mechanisms, and to provide examples and guidelines for antithrombotic prophylaxis in CS.
