Difficulty and adjustment in clinical teaching of nuclear medicine during COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract: During COVID-19 pandemic and due to the need for its prevention and control, the training of interns and graduates in nuclear medicine are facing challenges. This paper analyzed these challenges and reported a series of reformation implemented by the Department of Nuclear Medicine of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. During the pandemic, students face various difficulties in the process of clinical practice, which also leads to some psychological problems such as fear, anxiety and depression. Therefore, the department of nuclear medicine remodels the teaching and training plan based on the needs of trainees and constantly modify the training procedures to protect trainees and meet the needs of training as well as pandemic prevention and control.
