Abstract: Objective To explore the role of teaching assessment on students of nursing majors after teaching traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in western medical college. Methods To summarize the teaching assessment of TCM course among students of nursing majors in Peking Union Medical College from 2012 to 2017. Results The complete satisfaction of the students increased gradually with the curriculum setting, teaching content, content of lecture and final exam meeting requirements of the syllabus and teaching methods contributed to the cultivation of students' abilities to think independently and solve problems. Conclusion The application of teaching assessment plays a promoting role in the practice of TCM course.
