Abstract: Telomere shortening is one of the common ways to hereditary or acquired bone marrow failure. Telomere shortening caused by gene mutations reduces the number and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, and leads to bone marrow hypoplasia. Environmental factors break compensatory hematopoietic balance and lead to bone marrow failure.
