Abstract: In order to carry out the cultivating model reform of 8-year clinical medicine program, a system of "competency-based" clinical evaluation is established in Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) to achieve the aim of “examination promotes learning and teaching”. This system was established gradually since 2003, including the entrance examination to graduate examination. This article described the evaluation system and analyzed its advantages.
