Abstract: Problem-based learning (PBL) was first proposed by an American professor of neurology Barrows at McMaster University in Canada in 1969. Now it has become a more popular internationally teaching method. It emphasizes cooperation and autonomic learning to solve problems. It is beneficial for stimulating students' learning interest and the problem-solving abilities, however, there are also some drawbacks that will affect embodies of PBL teaching essence.
