Pyroptosis and tissue fibrosis

摘要: 细胞焦亡是一种特异性依赖caspace-1的新型细胞程序性死亡方式。相关刺激激活炎性小体并启动细胞焦亡,最终致使细胞死亡并释放促炎因子IL-1β、IL-18。细胞焦亡在多种纤维化疾病中介导形成“焦亡-炎性反应-纤维化”轴样病理改变,扩大炎性级联反应,加重组织纤维化病程进程。因此,细胞焦亡的启动逐渐成为药物靶点研究的新方向。

Abstract: Pyroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death that is specific to caspace-1. Associated stimuli activate inflammatory corpuscles and initiate pyroptosis, leading to cell death and the release of inflammatory factor IL-1β and IL-18. Pyroptosis mediates the axial pathological changes of "pyroptosis-inflammatory response-fibrosis" in many kinds of fibrosis diseases, expands inflammatory cascade reaction, and exacerbates the course of tissue fibrosis. Therefore, the initiation of cell pyroptosis has gradually become a new direction of drug target.
