铁死亡在阿尔茨海默病中作用的研究进展

摘要: 阿尔茨海默病(AD)是老年人中最高发的神经退行性疾病。AD患者表现出来的进行性神经元丢失和死亡,及与脑铁异常水平相关的高氧化应激等症状,可能与铁死亡这种新型细胞死亡方式相关。铁死亡的两大特征,铁稳态失调和脂质过氧化可以将铁死亡和AD联系起来。铁死亡或许能为AD治疗提供一些新思路。

Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly. The symptoms of progressive neuronal loss and death in AD, as well as the hyper-oxidative stress associated with abnormal brain iron levels, may be related to ferroptosis, a new way of cell death. Two characteristics of ferroptosis, iron homeostasis and lipid peroxidation, may potentially link ferroptosis to AD. The research on potential role of ferroptosis may provide new ideas for the treatment of AD.
