Abstract: Chronic kidney disease is usually complicated with deficiency of vitamin D which causes severe impairment of kidney function through stimulating RAS （renin–angiotensin system）and other pathways. Both in vivo and vitro studies have demonstrated that active vitamin D and its analogues supplementation could attenuate glomerulosclerosis and renal tubulointerstitial fibrosis and the renoprotective effects could delay the progression and reduce the mortality rate of CKD.
