The Practice of Electronic Medication Instruction Based on ‘Internet Plus Healthcare’

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To explore a service model for providing electronic medication instruction based on the ‘internet plus healthcare’ platform in our hospital. METHODS Through a questionnaire survey, a project team was established to analyze patients′ real needs for medication instruction, determine the basis of electronic medication instruction, compile the content of electronic medication instruction and update periodically. Finally electronic medication instructionis embedded in APP for use. RESULTS The function of electronic medication instruction, prescription reminders and online consultation have been successfully launched by the ‘internet plus healthcare’ platform in our hospital. By the 31th October of 2022, up to 142 295 patients have received remote medication instruction. CONCLUSION The construction of a diversified remote medication instruction service model combined with ‘electronic medication instruction+online pharmacist consultation’ can meet the common and individual needs of patients, improve service quality and ensure rational use of medicines.
