Abstract��
OBJECTIVE To establish an RP-HPLC method for the determination of cefpiramide(CPM) level in plasma and urine. METHODS After precipitating protein and extracting,the concentrations of CPM were analysed by RP-HPLC.The separation was performed in a Discovery ODSC18column (250 mm��4.6mm,5��m) with a mobile phase of methanol:acetic triethylamine H2O=640��3��1357(pH5.38).The UV detector at 254 nm was selected.The internal standard was acetanilide. RESULT The recoveries of CPM in plasma and urine were (99.58��2.94)% and (98.72��1.97)%,respectively.The calibration curves were linear over the range of 1.25��160 ��g��ml-1in seurm and 2.5��160 ��g��ml-1in urine with a correlation coefficient of 0.999.The RSD was less than 7%. CONCLUSION The method is simple,precise,accurate and usable for studies in human.
