Abstract ��
OBJECTIVE To separate and identify the chemical constitutes of the arial parts of Saussurea tridactyla Sch-Bip. METHODS The compounds were isolated with chromatography technology,Their chemical strucrures were elucidated with UV,IR,MS,��1H-NMR spectral methods. RESULTS Five compounds were isolated from the plant.They were identified as tricosane��,��--sitoterol ��,methyl p-hydroxy benzolate ��,umbelliferone �� and scopoletin ��. CONCLUSION These compounds were isolated from the plant for the first time,and compound �� were isolated from this genus for the first time.
