Abstract
OBJECTIVE A new ultrasonic-assisted solvent extraction technology were developed for extracting alkaloids from Viscum coloratum(Komar.)Nakai.METHODS A staining method with bromine cresol green(BCG method)was established for analyzing of alkaloids in mistletoe extracts, the ultrasonic-assisted solvent extraction procedures were optimized using single factor and orthogonal experiments,by varying important factors on the yield of mistletoe alkaloids.RESULTS The maximal yield of mistletoe alkaloids was achieved when samples were extracted using 1.5% hydrochloric acid in 65% aqueous ethanol as the extraction solvent under the optimized conditions of an ultrasonic frequency of 32 KHz,a temperature of 80 and a time of 60 min.CONCLUSION The ultrasonic-assisted solvent extraction technology based on BCG method is brief, accurate and effective.
