Abstract: Objective To compare the effect of two kinds of extract oil on gastric acid secretion and pepsin activity in mice with gastric ulcer and provide experimental basis for the treatment of gastric ulcer disease. Methods One hundred and twenty KM mice were randomly divided into control group, model group, okra seed oil and ginger oil prevention group. The gastric ulcer mice model were induced by ethanol, which were then given drugs for one week. The total acidity of gastric juice and pepsin activity in each group were measured and calculated. Results The total acidity and pepsin activity of gastric juice in the model group were higher than that in the blank control group (P<0.05). The total acidity and pepsin activity of gastric juice in okra seed oil group and ginger oil group were lower than that in the control group; The total acidity and pepsin activity of gastric juice in okra seed oil group were lower than that in ginger oil group (P<0.05). Conclusions Okra seed oil and ginger oil have protective effect on gastric ulcer in mice gastric mucosa, and the protective effect of the same dosage of the seed oil of okra is more significant.
