Abstract: Objective To investigate the expressions of Survivin and ki-67 in the colorectal adenocarcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods The expressions of Survivin and ki-67 in 60 specimens of coloreetal adenocarcinoma tissues and 30 specimens of normal eolorectal tissues were detected using Immunohistochemical SP technique and in situ hybridization. Results The positive expression rates of Survivin and Ki-67 in colorectal adenoeareinoma tissues were 73.34%and 80.00%,respectively,while in normal colorectal tissues they were 10.00% and 6.67%.The difference was significant (P<0.01). The positive expression rates of Survivin mRNA in colorectal adenoeareinoma and normal tissues were 10.00% and 6.67%.Expression of Survivin was positively related with expression of Ki-67 in coloreetal adenocarcinoma tissues(P<0.05).Expression levels of Survivin and Ki-67 were correlated with the TNM staging, liver metastasis, the depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, and peritoneal micrometastasis(P<0.05).The patients with positive expression of Survivin and Ki-67 had poor progosis with lower one, three, and five year survival rates.Survivin,Ki-67,the TNM staging, liver metastasis, lymph node metastasis, and peritoneal micrometastasis were independent prognosis factors for coloreetal adenocarcinoma. Conclusion: Thethe high expression levels of Survivin and Ki-67 have a high correlation with the initiation and progression of colorectal adenocarcinoma, and they may be amolecular-biological indicators in forecasting the progress and prognosis of colorectal carcinoma.
