A new strategy of teaching medical genetics in the era of precision medicine

Abstract: “Harvard Medical School-Peking Union Medical College training to teachers program(T2T training program)” covers topics in andragogical advances of medical education. “Johns Hopkins Medical School-Peking Union Medical College medical education faculty exchange program(JHMI-GTS observation program)” arranges observations of the composition and educational methods of their core integrated new curriculum “genes to society”. As a teacher of medical genetics, the author attended both programs and proposes a new strategy of medical genetics teaching: Pairing andragogy and genomic advances in the era of precision medicine.
