Abstract: SIRT1 is a highly conserved class III NAD+ dependent histone deacetylases that is widely expressed in the fetal and human tissues. It plays an important role in the regulation of metabolism, aging, oxidative stress, response, apoptosis, inflammation and autophagy through deacetylation. The development of diabetic kidney disease is closely associated with inflammation, oxidative strss response, ischem- ia,hypoxia and senescence, SIRT1 may be the unpstream regulator of the disease’s progression.
