Role of mononuclear phagocyte system in hypertension

Abstract: Chronic inflammatory induced by innate and adaptive immune system involves in the occurrence, development and target organ injury of hypertension. Mononuclear phagocyte system, as part of innate immune system, is composed of monocyte, macrophage and monocyte derived dendritic cell, which participates in blood pressure regulation through vascular inflammation, central sympathetic nerve system and water-salt balance.
