Feedback of OSCE examiners in the phase I skill examination of standardized training of Beijing radiology residents

Abstract: Objective To evaluated the feedback of the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) examiners in the stage I skills examination of the standardized training of radiology residents in Beijing. Methods The subjects were selected from the radiology examiners who supervised the exams in 2018.The basic features of examiners, the distribution of test sites, the satisfaction of pre-test and the questionnaire of post-test were evaluated. Results The results showed that the age of 29 examiners mainly focused on 35 to 45 and their professional title were mainly chief physician; 75.86% of examiners were very satisfied with the pre-exam training and 24.14% were satisfied with it. It was also indicated that the concept of OSCE was popularly acceptable among examiners. Examiners generally agreed that it was worth to promoting OSCE among radiology residents because its good response of professional competency in candidates. Conclusions Based on the analysis of the OSCE examiners, we believe that the standardized training system of OSCE examiners could train qualified examiners and provide a foundation of nationwide OSCE examination for radiology residents in the future.
