Abstract: Chief resident system is an important link of personnel training in hospital. Chief residents of internal medicine department serve at first line of teaching and health care, andimprove quality of residents in aspects of health care, education and management. To insist on and strengthen the role ofchief resident system in the standardized training of residents of internal medicine department, is of great importance for the success of the standardized training.
