Abstract: Aberrant methylation of tumor suppressor genes may cause transcriptio-nal silence.Aberrant methylation of DNA repair genes such as MGMT,hMLH,B-RCA would result in decreased repair protein synthesis,genomic instability,decre-ased repair capacity,increased mutation rate and finally cacinogensis.
