Research progress in integrin α5β1 and ischemic cerebrovascular disease

Abstract: Cerebral ischemic stroke(CIS)is a life-threntening disease characterized by high risk,high-mortality,Studies in recent years have found that integrin alpha5beta1 (a5β1) is associated with the vascular growth in many organs including the brain and modulation of the activity of glia after ischemic stroke .The brain protection function of a5β1 will provide a new clue for CIS therapy.
