Abstract: Telemedicine provides a new way for medical students and medical professionals to acquire medical knowledge and have academic communication and clinical cooperation .This article reviews telemedicine and other surgery related innovations that benefit from developments in the field of telecommunication, and its application in surgery and surgical education.
