Abstract: Rheumatoid Arthritis is a systematic inflammatory auto-immune disease characterized by synovial hyperplasia and progressive joint destruction. It is thought that RA is caused by the presentation of self antigen by APC. Dendritic cells are antigen handing cells that regulate a wide spectrum of immune responses. They not only initiate immune responses but also induce immune tolerance. This character may apply a new sight for treating RA clinically.
