Abstract: Interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) is expressed in a variety of immune cells and participates in the regulation of a variety of immune responses. IRF4 is related to a variety of chronic inflammatory diseases and respiratory allergic diseases. Inhibiting the expression or the function of IRF4 can reduce or delay the occurrence and development of the disease. Studying the role and mechanism of IRF4 in chronic rhinopathy and airway allergic diseases will help provide new strategies for disease treatment.

Key words: interferon regulatory factor 4, chronic inflammatory disease, respiratory allergic disease, immune regulation
