Studies on Chemical Constituents of Sarcopyramis nepdensis

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study chemical constituents of Sarcopyramis nepdensis. METHODS The compounds were isolated by means of column chromatography on sinica gel, DIAION HP20, Sephadex LH-20 and ODS. Their structures were elucidated by physicochemical properties and spectra. RESULTS Eleven compounds were obtained and identified as syringaresinol(1, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate(2, 3-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(3, cholestery 9, 12-octadecadienoate(4, cholesteryl hepadecanoate(5, cholestery trans-cinnamate(6, arjunic acid(7, 3, 4-dihydroxycinnamic acid(8, β-sitosterol(9, daucosterol(10 and aralidioside(11.CONCLUSION Compound 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 were isolated from the plant for the first time.
