Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the flavonoid glycosides from the leaves of Vaccinium bracteatum Thunb. METHODS ■Flavonoid glycosides were isolated using various column chromatographic techniques and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral data and chemical evidences. RESULTS Twelve compounds were obtained from V. bracteatum Thunb, and they were identified as chrysoeriol-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(1), flavogadorinin(2), chrysoeriol-7-O-(6''-O-p- coumaroyl)-β-D- glucopyranoside (3), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucuronide methyl ester (4), isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), quercetin-3- O-α-L-rhamnoside (6), quercetin-3-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside (7), vitexin (8), quercetin-3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside (9), orientin (10), isoorientin (11), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucuronide (12). CONCLUSION Compounds 1, 2, 3, 4 were isolated from the Vaccinium for the first time, compounds 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 were isolated from this plant for the first time .
