Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of triterpenoid saponins in H.chensnsis Cogn.METHODS Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents.The spectral data(MS,NMR) were obtained for structure elucidation.RESULTS Six known triterpenoid saponins were isolated from the root of H.chensnsis Cogn.Their structures were elucidated as oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅰ),3-O-β-D-glucur opyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside(Ⅱ),3-O-(6′-butyl ester)-β-D-glucur opyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅲ),3-O-β-D-glucuropyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅳ),3-O(6′-methyl ester)-β-D-glucuropyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅴ),3-O-β-D-glucuropyranosyl-oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-mannupyranoside(Ⅵ).CONCLUSION Oleanolic acid is the main part of the chemical constituents of H.chensnsis Cogn..These compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
