Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study the sesquiterpenes of the underground part of Ligularia altaica DC.and their cytotoxicity activity against K562 cell lines.METHODS Nine eremophilane sesquiterpenes were obtained as :furaneremophilan-14β,6α-olide(1),8β-hydroxyl-7(11)-eremophilen-12,8α-olide(2),7(11)-eremophilen-12,8α-olide(3),8β-hydroxyl-eremophil-7(11)-en-12,8α(14β,6α)-diolide(4),6β-hydroxyl-7(11)-eremophilen-12,8α-olide(5),6β,8β-dihydroxyl-7(11)-eremophilen-12,8α-olide(6),7-acetyl-6(7)-en-noreremophil-13β-carboxylic acid(7),8β-hydroeremophil-7(11)-en-12β,8α(14β,6α)-diolide(8) and 2-hydroxyl-plary phillide(9).CONCLUSION All compounds were obtained from this plant firstly,compound 7 and 9 showed relative weak inhibitory activities against K562 cell lines with IC50 as 65.27 and 54.71 mg·L-1,respectively.
