Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the HPLC fingerprints and establish a sensitive and specific method for controlling the quality of Trigonella foenum-graecum L..METHODS HPLC gradient elution was applied for the fingerprints of Trigonella foenum-graecum L..All 14 samples were collected from different habitats of China.The separation was performed on a Alltech C18 column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water at the flow rate of 1 mL·min-1.The wavelength was at 211 nm.RESULTS There were 21 common peaks in the fingerprints of Trigonella foenum-graecum L..After calculating the similarity of fingerprints of 14 habitats,the similarity of different habitats was quite good. CONCLUSION The method has good sensitivity and repeatability.This chromatographic fingerprint method can be used to controll the quality of Trigonella foenum-graecum L..
