OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of Ganshutong capsule on the immune function of mouse. METHODS Selecting both male and female mouse of ICR strain with body-weight between 18～22 grams, and randomly dividing them into five groups, a contrasting group, a group of medicine levamisol-um (10 mg·kg^-1)and three experimental groups with different dosage (0.4, 1.0, 2.5 g·kg^-1)， each group wsa given the medicine by the way of ig. once a day for a week. The results were observed and recorded. RESULTS The cytophagocytesis of the mononeuclear phagocytes were greatly improved in the three experimental groups,enhancing guoting index; and apparently bringing a great advance in the production of haemolysin;the delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) was promoted in the group with the dosage of 2.5 g·kg^-1.CONCLUSIONS Ganshuotong capsule has remarked effects on promoting cellular immunity and humoural immunity and is beneficial for treating chronic hapetitis.
