Abstract
OBJECTIVE To increase the germinating rate of the seeds of Gastrodia elata and the growing rate of the protocorms.METHODS The seeds of Gastrodia elata, nutrients and endophytic fungi were mixed in alge acid-Na to form the encapsulating seeds.RESULTS The germinating rate of the seeds reached up to 56.65% and the size of protocorm reached 9.41 mm×1.55 mm in encapsulated seeds after cultured for 75 days with mixing strain 03 of endophytic fungi and nutrient in encapsulation meanwhile in the control group, the germinating rate was 38.71% and the size of protocorm was 1.45 mm×0.70 mm.After 4 months, the protocorm of the encapsulating seeds had been growing, but the control protocorms had withered.CONCLUSION After the seeds of Gastrodia elata were mixed to form the alge acid-Na encapsulating seeds, the germinating rate of and the growing rate of protocorms were increased obviously.
