Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To compare the inhibitory activity to β-lactamase of tazobactam with sulbactum. METHODS: The Ki and IC50values of tazobactam and sulbactum were measured. RESULTS: The Ki value of tazobactam was higher than that of sulbactum and the IC50value of tazobactam was lower than that of sulbactum. CONCLUSION: The inhibitory activity of tazobactam was stronger than that of sulbactum.
