OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of Housheng Fuzheng Ye on immunity and hematopoietic injures.METHODS:The clearance of carbon particles test,serum hemolysin assay method and three kinds of animal models for hematopoietic injures were used to oberve the effects of Housheng Fuzheng Ye.RESULTS:Housheng Fuzheng Ye obviously increased the phagocytosis of mononuclear macrophage,caused serum carbon granular clearance rates much faster and hemolysin (IgM) level in serum higher.It could also obviously recover HB and RBC lowered by blood loss,WBC and platelet lowered by cytoxan or ⁶⁰Co radiation.It also could reduce numbers of coughing produced by chemicals (cis-platinum diaminodichloride).CONCLUSIONS:Housheng Fuzheng Ye can increase immunity.It can be used to treat leukopenia and thrombocytopenia caused by chemicals and radiation,nausea and vomiting.
