Abstract

In this experiment,PQS(100,300,500μg/ml)decreased the amplitude of actionpotential, overshooting, threshold, maximum diastolic potenlic,maximum rate of depolarizationand action potential duration at 50%level repolarization in cultivated rat cardiac cells. The effectsof PQS(300~500μg/ml) were similar to those of MnCl2(0.1μg/ml) and verapamil(1.0μmol/L)。The Ca ̄(2+)(200mmol/L)could reverse the effect of PQS(300μg/ml)on inhibiting electricalparameter of action potential of rat cells. The results indicated that PQS may affect calcium channel block.
