Abstract

OBJECTIVE To establish fingerprint method of the volatile oil of Nardostachys jatamansi DC, evaluate the quality of pineapple pine by different processing methods, and analyze the chemical components of the common peaks of Nardostachys jatamansi DC volatile oil by GC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS technology. METHODS Ten batches of Nardostachys jatamansi DC were collected and treated with different processing methods, and the volatile oil was extracted by steam distillation. The fingerprint mapping was established by gas chromatography (GC), and the common peak components were identified by high resolution mass spectrometry. The results were analyzed by hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA), principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least square discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) to find out the main differences among the three processing methods. RESULTS The results showed that there were 18 common peaks in the GC fingerprint of Nardostachys jatamansi DC volatile oil treated with soil removal, washed with oven dvied. After chemometric analysis, it was found that the medicinal materials under different processing methods could be clearly distinguished.The components of the common peaks were identified by GC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS. Different processing methods of Nardostachys jatamansi DC could be effectively distinguished by chemometrical analysis, and it was found that different processing methods could identify the common peaks of (+)-calarene、 patchouli alcohol、(-)-aristolene、 and other components were significant. CONCLUSION The fingerprint of Nardostachys jatamansi DC volatile oil established in this experiment has good precision, repeatability, stability and high resolution of each peak. Furthermore, combined with chemical pattern recognition, different processing methods will have a great impact on the quality of Nardostachys jatamansi DC. The method established in this experiment can provide reference and basis for the processing method and quality control of Nardostachys jatamansi DC.
