Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the chemical constituents of Pinellia ternaata.METHODS The chemical constituents were isolated by various column chromatographic methods and structurally elucidated by spectral evidences.RESULTS Fifteen compounds were obtained and identified as1,8-dihydroxy-3-methyl-anthraquinone (1),succinic acid (2),heptadecanoic acid 2,3-dihydroxy-propyl ester (3),soyacerebroside I (4),octadeca-9,12-dienoic acid ethylester (5),monogalactosyldiacy glycerol (6),soyacerebroside II (7),3-O-(6′-O-hexadecanoyl-β-D-glucopyranoside) stigmast-5-en (8),benzene-1,4-diol (9),1,6:3,4-dianhydro-β-D-allosep (10),1,6:2,3-dianhydro-β-D-allosep (11),5-hydroxymethyl-furan-2-carbaldehyde (12),benzene-1,2-diol (13) and-β-sitosterol (14),daucosterol (15).CONCLUSION Compound 1,3,5,6,8~11 and 13 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
