Abstract

Malignant tumor has become one of the main causes of death in the world, and exploring effective new methods of anti-tumor therapy has always been the focus of tumor research. Ultrasonic microbubble (USMB) drug delivery system, as a new non-invasive and targeted method for tumor therapy, has attracted wide attention in recent years. Microbubbles are composed of air cavities with a stable shell and can be loaded with various antineoplastic drugs. Under the action of ultrasonic radiation, microbubbles can penetrate various physiological barriers and highly heterogeneous tumor tissues in the body, and then burst drug-loaded microbubbles through cavitation effect to release drugs at a fixed point. In addition, drug-loaded microbubbles also have the advantages of protecting drugs from degradation and reducing drug side effects. So the ultrasound microbubble-mediated drug loading system can perfectly resolve a series of problems such as short half-life, drug resistance and harmful side effects of antineoplastic drugs in the treatment process. Therefore, by collecting and collating the literature of USMB anti-tumor therapy in recent years, this paper reviews the anti-tumor targeted therapy mediated by USMB.
