Abstract:OBJECTIVE To providea reference for development of Chinese pharmacy professional accreditation.METHODS Adopting the method of literature research,the article studies the history and status quo. RESULTS APC is the body responsible for the professional accreditation of pharmacy after the reform of the health practice management system in Australia. At present, there are 37 pharmacy programs accredited or conditionally accredited in 18 universities in Australia.TMain changes of the new accreditation standards manifest in the style structure, the pharmacy education idea and the standards′ integration. Its implications are as follows: giving legal status to professional accreditation;establish the pharmacy professional accreditation system which is connected with practice registration; establish a pharmacy program accreditation standard system based on national and international conditions; Giving play to the leading role of the advanced concept of pharmaceutical education; Strengthening the interaction with the industry.CONCLUSION After constant changes, Australia has established a relatively complete professional pharmacy accreditation system and development mechanism, which has positive reference significance for the development of professional pharmacy accreditation in China.
