Abstract��OBJECTIVE Set up a pediatric and pharmacist��s joint outpatient, improving the rationality of medication in outpatient department of Pediatrics. METHODS Through the establishment of joint clinic, made the clinical pharmacists directly take part in the treatment of pediatric and child health clinic. Analyzed the use rate of infusion, antibiotics, Chinese patent medicine and trace element supplement, counted the drug utilization index(DUI) of rehydration, antipyretic and aerosol inhalation drugs in pediatrics outpatient from October 2015 to December 2016. RESULTS The use rate of infusion, antibiotics, Chinese patent medicine and micronutrient supplements decreased in the past year, and the DUI of ibuprofen suspension, paracetamol, budesonide and ipratropium bromide showed an upward trend, the compound cold medicine showed a downward trend at the same time. CONCLUSION The joint clinic was helpful to improve the level of rational use of drugs in outpatient department of pediatrics.
