Glycosides Constituents of Whole Plant of Swertia binchuanensis

Abstract��OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of Swertia binchuanensis. METHODS The constituents were isolated and purified by column chromatography of silica gel. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical properties. RESULTS Five compounds are isolated and identified as 7-O-����-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1��2)-��-D-xylopyranosyl��-1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxyxanthone(1), 3-O-��-D-glucopyranosyl-1,8-dihydroxyl-5-methoxyxanthone(2), 7-O-��-D- glucopyranosyl-1,8-dihydroxyl-3-methoxyxanthone(3), amarogentin(4), and amaroswerin(5). CONCLUSION All of the compounds were isolated from S.binchuanensis for the first time.
