Abstract ��
OBJECTIVE: To study on the synthesis of pantoprazole sodium METHODS: Pantoprazole sodium was synthesized from 5-difluoromethoxy-2-mercapto-1H-benzimidazole and 2-chloromethyl-3,4-dimethoxypyrdine hydrochloride .RESULTS: The total yield of synthetic pantoprazole sodium was 77.2% The final product was identified by IR, UV, MS and NMR, respectively.CONCLUSION: It is a better way to prepare pantoprazole sodium with a relative high yield.
