Abstract��
OBJECTIVE:To develop a HPLC method for determination of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and dextromethorphan hydrobromide in Baijiahei.METHODS:Chromatographic conditions included Nova-pak Phenyl column and the mobile phase consisting of a minxture of acetomitrile-water-phosphoric acid (40��60��0.1).There are four grams dodecylsulfate Na per litre of the mobile phase.Naphazoline hydrochloride was selected as the internal standard.Detection wavelength was at 224nm.The flow rate was 1ml��min-1.RESULTS:The standard curve of Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride was linear ever the range of 0.225��1.125mg��ml-1.The average recovery was 100.23% withi RSD=0.69%(n=7).The standard curve of dextromethorphan hydrobromide was linear over the range of 0.112��0.560mg��ml-1.The average recovery was 99.81% with RSD=0.95% (n=7).CONCLUSION:This method was found to be simple and accurate.
